I wish nothing had been mined about this one way or another so this theory could stand on its own, because I do think it has been well set-up from the start.Īnd all of this leads to one specific question. This remains a theory for now, as I do not want to dive into datamines to see if I’m right or not. I cannot see a reason for Osiris to A) be given as big of a role as he’s had these past three seasons and B) for him to take the actions he has without him being under the influence of Savathun, or more likely, being Savathun himself. Osiris, working in the shadows across three separate seasons now (when has any one character been given a role across this many seasons?), influencing specific people and then the wider population in an effort to remove what she views as the greatest threat to her, Zavala and Ikora, the Vanguard, via assassination or a coup with the end goal of plunging the entire Last City into a civil war and unprepared to deal with a potential invasion by her and her sister, Xivu Arath.Īll of this adds up. He doesn’t want Mithrax to see the corruptive influence inside the network.Īll of this points to a master plan. Lakshmi also says they want Saint in power, who is A) probably the most powerful guardian now and B) someone who would likely do whatever his boyfriend, Osiris, told him to do.Īnd what does Osiris say when Mithrax offers to take a look at Lakshmi’s “dangerous” Vex-seeing tech at the end of the Expunge mission this week? No, no, don’t worry about it, the Black Armory is already working on it. That may be influencing Lakshmi to be controlled by her, or at least, having her hate stoked by her. Previous FWC weapon lore shows that the FWC network has been infiltrated by again, a repeating chorus of Savathun’s Song. And of course, there’s the development this week that the people of the Last City have now started to sing a “rallying cry” in the tune of Savathun’s Song. I literally do not know who that would be other than Osiris. Someone who can ensure an orderly transfer of power." "We have somebody in a position of influence. Lakshmi, in plotting her coup with the other faction leaders, says the following: The clear “villain” of the season is Lakshmi, but Osiris is ever-present all the same. Now we arrive in Season of the Splicer, and Osiris is just being flat out bizarre these days. All we know about that so far is that it was executed by a few Psions, but who was controlling them? Rogue Cabal faction? Maybe, but maybe Savathun/Osiris. There’s also the little matter of the attempted assassination of Zavala. While we don’t see him actively sabotage the Cabal alliance, he does have the best rapport with Caiatl (since when is Osiris a people person?) and he takes a very, very keen interest in the Crown of Sorrow found on the Glykon. Then we move to Season of the Chosen, where Osiris, despite being a former exile, manages to work his way into becoming Zavala’s right hand. It would also help explain a change in his personality, and why he was targeted in the first place, as lore suggests Osiris may have been the most powerful living Guardian before he lost his light. I mean, that may have actually happened to the real Osiris, but it would provide cover for Savathun taking over his body and people not really batting an eye. Savathun may be able to do a lot of things, but she couldn’t fake having a ghost or wielding light, apparently, so that’s why we have this story about Sagira dying and Osiris losing his light. The idea is that this is where Osiris actually died or was captured (I mean, it’s the Ascendant Plane, clearly a good realm for Savathun) and the Osiris that emerged was Savathun in disguise. This all started when Osiris lost Sagira in the Ascendant Plane, the kick-off event of Season of the Hunt. There is a lot of evidence for this in the game already, and I wanted to lay out the “case” here, regardless of what rumors or leaks there may be, which I’ve tried to avoid, as I said. 2024 GOP Presidential Contenders South Carolina Sen Tim Scott Announces His Candidacy
